John Jones Stargel is listed on the Constitution as a Founding Member, his wife Jane AnnDeFore is also listed. He Baptized most of his children here and he and Jane are buried here as are several family members <no pictures>
John Jones served in the Indian Wars of the 1800's and has Memorial Stone at Cane Creek
Josiah Clarence, son of J.J. Ministered there and also was a Minister at Flat Creek Baptist Church in Flowery Branch, Hall, GA
He is buried at Oakwood City Cemetery in Oakwood, Hall, GA
Josiah's wife Mary Isabelle Shelton is also buried there with him
Josiah served in the CSA and has a Memorial Stone at Cane Creek
JohnJones's son Charles Wesley was a Minister and often preached at several Churches in the area including Cane Creek. Charles is buried at Mt Gilead Historial Cemetery 4941 Hwy 52E, Dahlonega, Lumpkin, GA 30533 C.W. was a Minister at Mt. Gilead also.
Charles served in the CSA and has a Memorial Stone at Mt. Gilead beside his headstone
John Jones's son John Defore served in the CSA and has a Memorial Stone at Cane Creek, he is buried at Rock Springs Methodist Church Cemetery- Rock Springs, Walker, GA
John's son William Cicero served in the CSA and has a Memorial Stone here also. His burial place is uncertain as of May, 2004
On October 27, 2001 we had a Memorial Service to our Forefathers,
and several Stargel Generations attended
